fait accompli?

It has been in the planning stages for month's. Do I agree with the way it is being done ? NO !! , but I want what is best for this city and I am willing to make sacrifices to help get it done. The numbers Mr. Berry is using are old and possibly outdated, so he should just buck up and try and be a part of this city's future growth!!!

There doesn't have to be a vote to plan a groundbreaking.
There was, however, a vote to use the water monies for capital improvements and the people voted "yes."

I don't think there is any point to debating whether the city can plan or hold a groundbreaking for the Renaissance project. They can. They have. I guess we'll see if it continues based on how the court case goes today.

The point was: was a groundbreaking appropriate at this time with a pending lawsuit?

an arrogant government might not see the problem.

i understand the city lost and is scrambing to correct their errors re: the city charter.

i anticipate the groundbreaking is off for now....

I DON'T THINK THE CITY WILL LOOSE! I THINK THEY ARE TRYING TO COME TO SOME SORT OF AGREEMENT WITH MR. BERRY, THAT IS WHY I THINK IT WAS DELAYED UNTILL THE 25TH. OF THIS MONTH. THE GROUND BREAKING AND THE CONSTRUCTION WILL HAPPEN AND IT WILL IMPROVE THE QAULITY OF LIFE HERE IN ENID. THAT IS MY OPINION !!

Your understanding is not correct. The groundbreaking will still take place as planned and the judge allowed the awarding of the contracts Tuesday night. Nothing has been stopped.

I believe the voting process works. If the government doesn't subvert it.

Enid will rue the day it spent 20 million of our hard earned water bill dollars on this piece of outsider ego driven nearly useless fluff.

Was the rain and flooding a message from God?
