Horrible, especially in this day and age. It seems stupidity is still running rampant. I hope something is done, something that will actually send a message to these kinds of low lifes. A message that says we will NOT put up with this kind of crap.

Many Americans will never truly experience complete independence. Cause as long as they can refer to or recite from the "good book" they can justify all their egregious behavior.

So fill your "pie holes" on this day of independence but continue to live by the archaic rules of yesteryear.

Do you realize that Enid is 106 miles away from Sapulpa? Woodward is 200 miles from Sapulpa.

You claim to live in "New-Canaan" Connecticut. Go down to the driveway and get in your car and drive east. Stop when you are 6 miles shy of Newport, Rhode Island. That is how far it is from Enid to Sapulpa. You have to drive another 87 miles east to reach the Woodward distance. I hope you can swim.

Should we hold you responsible for not speaking out about crime in New Haven? Hartford?? Hartford has had 19 or 20 murders since January! Surely you must take moral high ground here.

Hey, it's only 117 miles from your house to Providence! Have any comments on Providence crimes?

What would make you think that folk are not outraged and appalled? Why do you think no-one went to the church to be supportive? Do you not watch our local TV stations? Do you not read the two big newspapers and all the comments? Is this the only forum in Oklahoma where this might be discussed?

This is not a local story. This should be in Headlines, not local stories.

Sadly, a very large chunk of people in Enid have no idea what even goes on here in their own town, let alone a city two hours away.

County law authorities told the Herald that the teens gave boredom as their reason for burning the cross.

Bored! So you build a great looking cross with near perfect right angles. You lug the heavy cross with all your supplies and trespass onto private property and you set it on fire. That is not boredom!

Now if they would of done the same thing to a white church they prolly would of gotten their butts beat by pa.



My guess is all they got was a wink and a pat on the back.
