I agree with the yard upkeep needs to be addressed, and that the roads in enid are bad. I remember so many places with potholes its sad. Alot of the problem is that either the majority doesnt care, cant be bothered to help keep care of the roads, or simply find it fun. The roads have been patched before and still get messed up. The problem? Things happen and instead of understanding and tolerance these people just complain and make things worse(no im not attacking you by this statement)

I have lived in Enid since 1999. I have sat back and watched so many things change.

Enid clean up for example. The city went proactive and asked that people clean thier yards. There was a huge progress made during that. They now ask citizens to assist in reporting yards that need attention. We are the voices for that.

Downtown, there have been many positive changes to down town. The court house alone has made many nice changed.

City dumpsters instead of trash bolowing every where.

There are many activites throughout the year that are held here locally. Music at the parks, scare on the square, different parades, enid lights up the plains, christmas cash..

Really if we sit back and think about the positives in this community instead of all the negatives. We do not hear about rapes and murders on a daily basis from our own community. When something bad happens, we pull together as a community. We have a great community here..

I challenge all that do not like Enid to just get up and move away. Make more room for people that can appriciate what we do have here instead of what we should have here.

I'm convinced we could pave all the Enid streets with gold, and the same group of people would still complain about the streets.

Oh yes, I can see the people flocking here from miles around to enjoy the abundance of all Enid has to offer. If the streets were paved in gold, perhaps I could see the flock arriving.

I'm allowed to voice my opinion of displeasure in what I've experienced. I don't need to be told to get out of town if I don't like it nor should I be labled as someone who can't be pleased no matter what.

I'll even say something positive. I adore the landscaping done at the overpass on north Van Buren and the string of trees the city planted in the median down the stretch of road beyond the overpass. Now, I think that's great!
