This forum encourages diversity of opinion and open, frank discussion of a wide range of issues. It is wonderful that the Enid News sees fit to provide this space for such discussion. I absolutely do not believe in censorship of any kind at any level. Get those ideas out there no matter how perverse they may seem. At the same time I believe in calling a spade a spade. All ideas, thoughts and opinions are not created equally. The suggestion in CW's post that Israel should nuke Mecca is sick and disturbing on the face of it. It is truly baffling to me that one human being could call for the outright destruction of not only a group of people, but the cultural seat of one of the world's great religions. I am sure that the irony of posting a call for the ultimate censorship on a site dedicated to perpetuating free speech is totally lost on the poster. In the end we are a family of human beings, and we are all that we've got. Calling for the annihilation of a group of our fellow human beings is some sick sh*t. Not calling out the deranged poster of such a comment is sicker sh*t. This sort of hateful garbage should not be tolerated. The tool to stamp it out shouldn't be censorship, but should be condemnation by the community here at Hey Martha. I am trying to do my part in calling out this garbage for what it is. Others can make their own decisions, but I hope that most of Hey Martha finds this vitriolic trash as sickening at I do. | ||

CW stated her opinion: I find it interesting that you are all over her for hers and yet not the Muslim for theirs against everyone not Muslim. They teach this to their children and teach the total destruction of Israel and all other infidels. So tell me why is this Ok but not a different opinion from this. I think you need to get off CW and others who disagree with you and let everyone come to their own conclusion. After all we are adults....? and can make up our own mind. You don't need to be our mind control tsar. If they start kicking people off the forum for having radical opinions, then there is already of list to start with. Disagreement is fine. Calling for dropping an atomic bomb on the seat of a religion is not fine, and should not be accepted as another idea among competing ideas. It is sick, wacked-out sh*t, and the failure of "Christians" to stand against it in the name of their religion is hard to understand. I will give kudoes to SoT for at least saying that the action is not scriptural. | |||
