Couldn't help but notice in the article about the Enid Majors and the Woodward Travelers, how many total games Woodward has played. Holy Smokes...Enid's season record was 33-10=43, but Woodward reported a record of 54-19=73. They really are the travelers...they must play night and day to squeeze in so many games. Talk about a full schedule...WOW. Wonder which schedule is most typical? That old song, On the Road Again, keeps coming to mind!

This summer league was a joke. You pretty much play the same teams over and over again. It's sad that the Tulsa teams all play in the Diamond League, the OKC schools play Red Dirt or Legion.

Enid wanted to recruit all the best kids from those schools and then go play against those teams.

How is recruiting the Tulsa Union player to come to Enid the best thing for ENID or ENID AREA kids?

How many times do you need to play a split squad game?

I have a feeling there will be more options for summer baseball next year, even if the kids don't play at David Allen.

Kids who want to play bad enough would play in a field for better baseball.

I thought this year's summer league lacked a little in imagination, interest and first class baseball. Something about having a Tulsa player on the roster just didn't seem right. Are Enid players recruited by other teams in the state...with turn around being fair play? Seems like there would be plenty of local talent available. After all, this is not major league baseball or did I miss the Yankees coming to David Allen?

With Enid's location, it makes it difficult for Enid kids to play somewhere else on a regular basis.

I did think it ironic that what used to be used for indoor seating now has beds in it for players!
