Thanks for replying !! Still no takers on my trivia question. Guess the extremely old baseball fans are still pout***.
IMO Texas is set to return to the World Series for the next few years and i am a traditionalist who believes the pitcher should bat. So Go Cards!! But if game seven ends anything like game six my 'props' go to the last team standing.

That was an unbelievable game. I watched the whole thing and then dozed off in the 11th and didn't see the home run live. All of the cheering on the tele awakened me just after it happened. Dammit!

Had to be the wild card clincher, but I don't remember who it was against.

Spivey had the answer i was looking for. Went to the All Star game and since the National league won the St. Louis Cardinals have home field advantage. They say it is not an advantage to the home club, but i experienced a game seven victory and i beg to differ.
Fred you might want to try this and you are sure to catch the best plays.
I was in the shower during the bottom of the 11th. My radio was on loud but the tv was on. So i heard the loud home run cheer then i peeked at the tv and saw the batter hit it. This is true for most sports. I have found that the delay is from 7 to 18 seconds depending where you live and high definition has its own delay going on.
Pitchers Duel??? Slugfest????
Give me extra innings and since St. Louis is one of the best baseball towns....Beat em Cardinals.
Oops its 2 zip Texas in the top of the first.

I was at game 5 last year in Arlington where the Giants won the WS, pitchers dual deluxe. Lee vs. Lincecum. Also was at Rangers/Tigers where Cruz hit the grand slam walk-off a few weeks ago. October is awesome. Completely agree the home field advantage is signficant and I'm glad the all-star game actually means something now.
Carpenter's thrown a lot of innings in this postseason. Shaky in the first. Hope it continues.

As a Cub fan I have to officially hate the Cardinals, but as a baseball fan I do like going to games at Busch Stadium. It's a great ball park and a great city. Wonderful atmosphere to watch a game. We saw them play the Astros at Busch this past August. The Westin, right across from the ball park, even arranged for a pet sitter to take care of our paralyzed dog in our room.

I didn't get to see all of the games but kept up with them the best I could. This seems to have been one of the best world series in years. My dad was a hardcore Cards fan when he was alive so when they make the series, I gotta lean their way. I didn't see any regular season games but Texas never seemed to have a rythm going in any of the games I watched. The Cards just seemed to be having a good time. Great series.

1. There is no such thing as a routine fly ball. 2. A game well lost is a work of art. 3. Baseball was not meant to be played after September. 4. The law of averages is pure bull sh*t. 5. 104 years is nothing on a geological scale. 6. And most importantly – There IS always next year.
