Hey Rupe...was there any better...ever? Absolutely a class act from start to finish...in a league of his own. Of course he played for my beloved SF 49'ers during their golden years. So many Super Bowls, and so many rings!

Yes sir his work ethic was second to none. But he definitely would sit the bench in public speaking class. But yesterday is also about not forgetting to mention those who helped you get there.
If Jerry just spoke from his heart it would of flowed much better.

Public speaking is difficult for most...I would be scared to death in front of such an audience.

Jerry Rice spoke with his ability and his demeanor, not with words. He is one of the few professional athletes that I would like to shake hands with and just say "thank you".

Exactly...he is the perfect example of a professional athlete. I, too, would consider it an honor to shake his hand.

I remember teetering back and forth in front of the class at school, when doing my book reports. Thought i was going to blackout once.
