He appears to be a great person as well as a great athlete.

Maybe a tad premature...like to see him win a championship, but wonder if he'll still be in Oklahoma City when that happens...time will tell! Smile

Hope you guys can build it into a dynasty. We all need more crowds like the Thunder have. Phil Jackson was so worried that he had to try "mind games" on Kevin. Signs of weakness from the coach sitting in the "high chair". Good Luck to the Thunder!!

By adding Lebron James you may be unbeatable.

Rupert, I'd love to know what you are smoking. No way Lebron goes to OKC.

I'm not mokin' nuthin'. You have to dream big if you want to hang with big boys. Some of you never thought you would ever get an NBA team. Now that you do, think and pray big.

OK if you get someone Lebron James like you will be unbeatable.

Labron James...in addition to all the gold in Ft. Knox...will want to play in front of the national media like Chicago, New York, Miami. OKC is in the NBA, but not in the same league as those cities. We've made a good start, but still have miles to go.

There is a max. contract so no gold need be included.
It was great when small the small budget Marlins beat the always spending New York Yankees. Another upset will come along and i would want it to happen in my area.

Personally, I think adding James would be a big mistake. Adding a player as dynamic as James would totally mess with the team chemistry.

Use the money to keep Durant/Westbrook long-term. Add some more depth. Get some more experience. As it is, if they hadn't played the Lakers in the first round, they likely would have gone a bit further in the playoffs. After all, we took them to 6 games, and thus far nobody else has even won a darn game against them.

I agree with you S1, but can't help but wonder if the Lakers really didn't anticipate that the Thunder would be much of a challenge...think we're all a little surprised.

I don't know if its just a rumor or not, but a friend of mine heard a story relayed on the Sports Animal. He said that after Game 6, Kobe Bryant came up to Kevin Durant outside the locker rooms and shook his hand and told him that they (the Lakers) were "so glad to be done with the series" and that the Thunder "were some bad asses." High praise from a Laker legend.

Think about it. The "Zen Master" Phil Jackson was playing mind games with Durant even before the series started. I heard Kobe say before the series even started that they respected them because they (the Thunder) beat them during the regular season with ease in OKC. I think they knew full well that they were going to be in for a tough series.

Be interesting to see if Kevin Durant stays with the Thunder...the lights might be brighter elsewhere.

KD has publicly stated that if the Thunder offer him an extension this summer he will sign it. He has unequivocally stated his preference is to stay with OKC. The ball is in Sam Presi's and Clay Bennett's court. Hope they don't drop the ball. Kevin Durant is a rare talent.
