Having the Thunder beat the Lakers would also be sweet. And if OK CITY wins it all, they better build Durant that statue.

OR

Boston beating the Lakers in a game seven!

OR

Orlando Knocking off the Heat in a game seven .

Philadelphia 3:30 pm EDT
Miami ABC
Series tied 0-0

Atlanta 7:00 pm EDT
Orlando ESPN
Series tied 0-0

I hope and expect all these home teams to win this series. Upsets are great but these home teams winning, will increase the drama. And let them all go to game sevens!

And on Sunday:

Memphis 1:00 pm EDT
San Antonio TNT, FSSW
Series tied 0-0

New Orleans 3:30 pm EDT
LA Lakers ABC
Series tied 0-0

New York 7:00 pm EDT
Boston TNT, CSNE
Series tied 0-0

Denver 9:30 pm EDT
Oklahoma City TNT
Series tied 0-0

Again i expect the home teams to win the series.
But i would rather see Memphis, New Orleans, Boston and Oklahoma City, win.

Laker and Spurs have dominated for nearly a decade. That's enough.

* The Lakers signed a pay per view cable deal earlier this year that is worth about 3 billion. So they will be in position to buy the best players.

Sooner1's First Round Playoff Picks

Bulls over Pacers

Heat over Sixers

Magic over Hawks

Knicks over Boston (I can't believe I said that)

Spurs over Grizzlies (good for Memphis making the playoffs though!)

Lakers over Hornets (although, I would love to see this being an early upset. But I just don't have faith in the Hornets)

Mavs over Blazers

THUNDER over Nuggets

I was standing next to the cheerleaders when the Suns drafted Amare', at 19 years of age. I really hope he has grown, this series should show if he really has the heart of a champion. Melo also has much to prove to me.
If they earn it, give it to them. The Nicks coaches arse is on the line too!

I know it's about match ups and i haven't followed the NBA real close this year.
The Spurs are much deeper but are they mentally tired.

Dallas is also deep and lying in the weeds. Still looking for championship No. 1. Their owner wants it bad.

The seven game series is the best type of series.
The playoffs are about pace and focus and the other stuff.
There are some games that your team is not going to win, no matter how hard they try. So don't waste the energy and focus on the next game on your home court. Gotta' fight thru the ebb and flow.

Been listening to the first half of the game on the radio. And if the game gets interesting i'll turn on the tv. I do expect more fights this year.

First, I can not think of a better place to stand.

Second, I had to pick an upset somewhere. I like Boston as a team much better than the Knicks. Always have. Back to the Bird days. Never been a New York fan in any sport. The only real other upset choices were the Pacers, Grizzlies, Blazers, or Nuggets. I couldn't pick against our Thunder. I think the Mavs are just better than the Blazers. The Grizzlies won't be able to contain themselves just being in the playoffs. Although, I would LOVE it if they did pull the upset. And I think the Bulls/Pacers match up could go to 6 or 7 games easily.

You are right about Amare. If he can't play through the ankle thing and play through being Amare, then the Knicks lose. They can't ride just on Melo's back. And yeah, the coach is on the hotseat. You load a gun with so much ammo and if you can't shoot it right, you don't deserve to fire the gun.

I'm surprised my talk of the Knicks didn't rile up ol' Marky D, who used to wander around here. Maybe he doesn't come around as much. But I believe he was a big Celtics fan. Hey MARKY! You out there? Defend your Celts!

No, I don't bet much either. I always wanted to do it though. It just sounds like a cool thing to say. "I've got money on this game!" But at the end of the day, its either bet on the games or get gas for the car. Gambling is cheaper, but gotta have the fossil fuels in the car.

I know that this site: Bodog always posts some interesting lines on different stuff. They even take bets on American Idol winners and who will win the Republican Nomination and wacky stuff like that.

Disclaimer: I am not promoting this site. I am simply answering a hypothetical question raised by another member. I do not promote gambling unless you've already bought all the cigarettes, beer, beef jerky, and lottery scratchers you need for the month. Then have at it.

Well they say 80 % of the teams that win game one, win that series. Don't really see that happening at this time, but i am enjoying Upset Sunday....will it continue.

Today the taller, much younger Gasol brother won. Marc was originally drafted by the Lakers!!!!

Pau was gifted to the Lakers for practically nothing. One of the most recent grand thefts in the NBA. Remember Kobe yammering and pouting and threatening to leave the Lakers before that coup.

Kobe has never won a championship without a Shaq or a Pau.

This article is insulting. Not because that the NBA apologized for the wrong call. But the fact that this homer keeps calling OKC the Asterisks. C'mon! How long is this BS gonna go on? Teams relocate all the time.

Or is he calling them the Asterisks because of the sullied win?
