[quote]She swoons with each breath of silvery moon
Caught in the web of seductive June
Trapped in illusions of her heart's desire
Wondering whether the smoke is fire

Delusion smiles and draws her in sly
Is it really a sin to reach for the sky
What if she opens the back door to hell
And finds the inferno is remarkably swell

What if it is Dantè who sits at the gate
What if she finds that she simply can't wait
And rushing in blind, she takes a hard fall
Rose petals pierce her taking it all

The sweet lilies of June are long gone by July
As July burns into August these babies will fly
And regret in September brings rosemary and rue
Only to find out October is blue...

Roses and Rue

Under a scorpion sun, the vaunted horseman rides
Heading for the lands, where heroes find rosemary brides

Under a scorpion sun, the vaunted horseman rides
Bound for the land of Rosemary brides
Bound by oath to bring back for his king

(You do know how much I hate to do rime!)

Bound by oath to bring back for his king
Sweet strawberry lips for the future

Through a land of dry grass, he sets a true course

(No! I forgot! TY for adjusting--I feel more at home...)

as our lady nature shines upon
the warm sun mirroring her touch
our rider approaches closer to dawn with the begining and destination meaning just as much

Bound for the land of Rosemary
Bound by oath to bring back for his king
Sweet strawberry lips for the crown

Through a land of dry grass, he sets a true course
Knowing that his fate is the moon eclipse
But honor betrayed is honor lost
And under darkened sky, his face is stone

As our lady nature shines upon morn
The warm sun mirrors her touch
Our rider approaches close to the dawn
Begining and destination meaning the same
